SUMMARY
Miller “Buck” Butterson has been banging his way through life ever since a puck to the face fixed his messed up front teeth. After five years in the NHL, deflecting goals on the ice and scoring them with puck bunnies, Miller has decided he’s ready for a girlfriend. A real, non-bunny girlfriend to take on dates, and not jump into bed with after five seconds of conversation.
Miller thinks he’s found that woman in his teammate’s sister. Except, unlike team captain and all-around nice guy Alex Waters—who happens to date his stepsister, Miller’s media reputation as a manwhore is well earned. Beyond that minor detail, Miller doesn’t know the first thing about relationships or the time and effort they require.
Miller learns—eventually—that if he wants to make Sunshine “Sunny” Waters fall for him, he’s going to have to do a whole lot more than show her his stick skills in the bedroom.
MY REVIEW
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*
Pucked Up is awesome! I’ve been waiting to read this since it was announced and I couldn’t wait to get stuck in when it arrived on my kindle.
This is Bucks story who appeared in the first book, Pucked. I love his character, he’s so funny and you get to delve a bit deeper into his life and personality in this book. It shows his softer side and I really enjoyed getting to know him.
Sunny is the girl that has caught Bucks attention. At first I was a little unsure about her character but the more I read the more I got to understand her reasoning behind some of the things she did or said.
I’m so glad Vi and Alex were a part of this book too. It wouldn’t have been the same without them. I loved them in the first book and their parts in Pucked Up made the story that much better for me.
Pucked Up can be read as a standalone but I would highly recommend reading Pucked first to get more of an understanding of the characters.
I absolutely adore these books and I can’t wait for the next in the series.
