My Review
Defenseless tells the story a Charlie, a CIA agent set out to find her fathers killer. She teams up with ex SEAL Mark who has his own battles with to contend with. The connection between the two characters in undeniable but Charlie fights the affection shown to her at all points. She doesn’t want to be distracted from the task at hand but she soon realises Mark is impossible to ignore. Mark is hilarious, trying to figure out Charlie’s real name, the flirting and the sarcasm is great!
The only issue I had with the book is I think that I should have read the other books in the series first. Although it’s said it can be read as a standalone, at the beginning of the book I felt like I’d missed most of the story.
Overall, once I got into the story of Defenseless I found it was a really great story and would definitely recommend it!
